Volunteer pulling non-native plants, Golden Gate National Parks Explore, discover, restore the Golden Gate National Parks Wildflowers at Mori Point, Golden Gate National Parks

The Site Stewardship Program works to restore endangered species habitat at restoration sites in the Golden Gate National Parks with the support of local volunteers and education groups. These sites, which are located in the Marin Headlands and Pacifica, are home to a number of endangered species including the San Francisco garter snake and the Mission blue butterfly. Over the past 13 years, community members and students have contributed more than 200,000 hours of support to improve habitat on these special park sites.
